While expanding clientship across both American and European continents, TheViewPoint took steps to enhance existing privacy procedures by obtaining a EU-U.S Privacy Shield Framework certification.
Privacy Shield membership ensures that data collection and transfer are done in compliance with EU and US data protection requirements. So, the framework regulates and confirms that organizations-members take measures to prevent personal data from misuse, unauthorized disclosure and destruction. This type of data includes device models, IP addresses, UI activity events, online identifiers, browser type, language settings, etc.
TheViewPoint aligned the company’s internal processes, certified by IAB and verified by TAG, to be in position to guarantee that all the reasons for obtaining, sharing and aggregating users’ personal data are outlined in the company’s privacy policy and meet international regulators’ principles.

The EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Frameworks were designed by the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the European Commission and Swiss Administration, respectively, to provide companies on both sides of the Atlantic with a mechanism to comply with data protection requirements when transferring personal data from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States in support of transatlantic commerce. The Privacy Shield program is administered by the International Trade Administration (ITA) within the U.S. Department of Commerce.
